Hippo Penny!

I'm diving back into the world of horror with EA's Dead Space remake, and boy, do I have some opinions! As a groovy reviewer, I'm here to give you the lowdown on this terrifying trip back in time.

First off, let me say that the original Dead Space is a classic – it's like the OG hipster of survival horrors. But, I mean, who doesn't love a good remake? It's like getting a fresh new pair of vinyl records, or, you know, having your favorite band re-release their debut album with fancy new production and whatnot.

Now, let's get to the critics – because, honestly, what's a review without a little shade? Game Informer gave it a 90, saying that Motive Studio "preserved the core of the experience" and added some new flair. Yeah, yeah, I get it – it's like when your favorite coffee shop rebrands itself with a new logo, but still serves the same good stuff.

New York Daily News went full-on gaga, giving it a perfect 100. They're all about that Dead Space life, saying it's "the finest way to experience the original." I mean, okay, sure thing, Daily News – you're always on point with those fancy headlines and whatnot.

Gaming Age, on the other hand, is like that one friend who just can't contain their excitement. They're all about hyping up this remake, saying it's "HONESTLY, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME ENOUGH" (caps lock intended, duh). Okay, okay, Gaming Age – we get it, you love Dead Space almost as much as you love Resident Evil 4 Remake (which, btw, is coming in March and might just dethrone this for you).

Vandal's critic gave it a solid 95, saying it's "an outstanding remake that makes everything better." Yeah, yeah – I mean, who doesn't love a good rehashing of their favorite game?

GamingTrend and God is a Geek both dropped in at 90, praising the quality-of-life upgrades and the updated graphics. They're all about that Dead Space flow, man.

And finally, Hardcore Gamer went full-on gushy, saying Motive Studio "turned this iconic... survival horror game into an even more immersive and engaging experience." Yeah, yeah – they really did turn up the heat on this one!

So, what's my take? Well, I think Dead Space is a fantastic remake that takes everything great about the original and adds some fresh new twists. It's like getting to relive your favorite horror movie, but with even more blood and gore (in a good way – not that kind of gore, ew).

In short, if you're a fan of survival horrors or just looking for something spooky and fun, Dead Space is the way to go. And if you're one of those critics who can't stop raving about it, well, more power to ya!

That's it for this review – stay tuned for my next gaming adventure!
